the rorschach test is subjective. you see in those random, abstract pictures what you want to see. what you want to see is a combination of what you have seen in the past (you can’t describe something you have never seen/don’t know about, except in terms of what you do know), what has happened to you in the past (negative or positive), your personality, how seriously you take this test, and most importantly people usually filter their responses (if you have an inkling of a clue as to what this test is about, even if you saw, lets say a rape scene, you obviously wouldn’t say that, because it makes you look bad).

Sadly, that is because your prof is woefully misinformed. The Exner system of scoring the Rorschach has been heavily researched, tested, and validated. It is exceptionally reliable. It would seem your professor needs a little extra coursework in projective testing.
